Our Partnerships and Sponsorships
At The Shack Group we love to work with and support local businesses as well as grass roots sports.
We have our resident BBQ Guru, Si Gill who has his own BBQ teaching and catering business as well as working with local BBQ chefs such as Luke Vandore-Mackay local BBQ chef (previously one of London’s prized chefs) and BBQ teacher as well as Marcus Bawdon UK BBQ School and published author and very soon Sam Maindonald of Cherrywood BBQ in Ashburton.
We also enjoy a long term relationship with local award winning butchers Cox & Laflin who have supported our demo events with some cracking locally produced meats and more recently with Queen Street Butchers in Queen Street Newton Abbot who are providing some cracking BBQ and weekly meat packs for their customers making BBQ life much easier.
For The Coffee Shack we work with local barista Dan Pike from Fuelled by Caffeine, local coffee aficionados based in Bovey Tracey. Dan and the crew often run coffee workshops at The Shack Group and attend some of our events selling coffee and cakes making the whole experience so much better.
Sponsorships
We have been a sponsor at local rugby club Newton Abbot RFC of which Chris is actively involved with the club as Senior Fixtures Secretary, a post which he says he enjoys!!
We sponsor Aiden King, one of the Forwards at rival local club Torquay Athletic RFC. Rivals they may be but we are proud to sponsor such a cracking young man and long time customer at The Barbecue Shack and we will be keeping a close eye on Aiden’s career.
We are pitch side sponsors at Kingsteignton Athletic FC, they play with a round ball but we forgive them for that as they are a very active local club developing players of all ages.
To keep with sports involving a ball we are also track side sponsors at Bovey Tracey Cricket Club, nothing better in the summer than a BBQ and a game of cricket, what could be more British?
